The Department of Labor — along with other agencies across the federal government — is gathering ideas online to help increase transparency, collaboration, and participation within DOL as part of the White House Open Government Initiative.

According to a DOL press release: “We’re striving to make sure that the public is well informed not only about what we do, but also how our vital information and services may be easily accessed. This is a great way to get new ideas to better serve the public.

“Your input during this process is critical and we ask that you take a moment to visit the site — www.dol.gov/open/ideas.htmand provide your ideas for a better DOL. The site allows members of the public, subject matter experts, and DOL employees to share ideas, discuss those submitted by others, and vote for their favorites.

“Some of the best ideas submitted by March 19 will be incorporated into our departmental Open Government Plan and help develop roadmap for a more open Department of Labor.

“Our agency is committed to engaging the public and ensuring good jobs for everyone. We look forward to hearing your ideas.”
