12 watt infrared LED light emitter released by Larson Electronics

August 4, 2015

Longtime leader in commercial and industrial grade lighting equipment Larson Electronics continues its commitment to providing high grade lighting equipment to specialty markets with the release of a 12 watt infrared LED light emitter.

The LED10W-4R-IR infrared LED light emitter from Larson Electronics offers high light output in a light weight, durable, compact four inch square unit combined with versatile mounting and power options. This light emitter produces a 500’ long by 50’ wide light beam of light output in the 750NM, 850NM, or 940NM range while drawing only 12 watts of power from a 12 volt electrical system. Four Edison Edixeon 3 watt LEDs that produce 180 lumens each are paired with high purity, 10 degree optics to produce a tightly focused spot beam with limited spread or light spillage. This unit is also available with 35° flood optics to produce a wider beam spread that is ideal for close work and area lighting. This emitter is IP68 rated and waterproof to three meters, sealed against intrusion by dust and dirt and ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding environments and conditions. This unit incorporates a yolk type trunnion mount fitted with a single mounting stub that allows for full adjustability and simple mounting. This mount has two knurled knobs that can be loosened, allowing the LED light to be adjusted and re-tightened to lock the light into any desired position once mounted. A single stainless steel stub protrudes from the bottom of the mount, enabling the operator to install the light using a simple through-hole mount which allows the unit to be installed anywhere a ½” hole can be drilled. This IR LED light draws 1 amp at 12 volts, can run on any voltage from 9 to 50 volts, provides a rugged lighting solution that is ideal for use in industrial and commercial applications such as machine vision system lighting, security illumination and vehicle lighting.

“This new infrared light features a compact design that makes it possible to fit in smaller places that larger infrared light bars will not,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “This design is great for covert operations where space is limited on the vehicle.”

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of explosion proof lights, hazardous location lights, intrinsically safe lights, oil rig lights and explosion proof tank lights. You can view Larson Electronics’ entire line of lighting at Larsonelectronics.com. Larson Electronics can be reached directly by calling 1-800-369-6671 or 1-214-616-6180 for international inquiries.
