Forty foot four stage mast mounted on a fourteen foot trailer released by Larson Electronics
Industrial lighting specialist Larson Electronics has announced the release of a forty foot mast mounted to a single axle fourteen foot trailer that was designed to provide a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras and other electrical equipment to elevations up to forty feet.
The LM-40-4S-TLR trailer mounted fold over four stage light mast from Larson Electronics features a fold over design for easy transportation, a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, and a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. This entire assembly is mounted on a fourteen foot single axle trailer, allowing operators to transport the unit from one location to another. This light boom can be extended to forty feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to thirteen feet for smaller area illumination. This mast is constructed of square steel tubing that measure different dimensions for each section. The mast is elevated from its folding position with a 1,200 pound hand winch that is fitted with 3/16” cable. A second 1,200 pound hand winch provides the thirteen to forty foot elevation of the mast. The 360° rotation is provided by a single T handle. By loosening the T handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. It can then be locked into place once the desired position is found by tightening the T handle. This mast is mounted to a 14’ by 6’, single axle trailer via six ½” anchor bolts. The two wheel trailer is equipped with a 5,400 pound axle and leaf springs with fifteen inch trailer tires. The trailer can support and haul an additional 3,500 pounds of equipment. A standard two inch ball coupling, two standard safety chains, and a four pin flat trailer plug allow for easy hookup and towing ability.
