Ergodyne adds new eyewear models with Kryptek® patterns and Fog-Off™ technology

May 27, 2016

SkullerzErgodyne announced today the addition of over three dozen new frame and lens options to its Skullerz® Eye Protection Line. Included are safety glasses with new Kryptek® camouflage patterns, additional frame options featuring clear and smoke lenses with proprietary Fog-Off™ anti-fog technology, and a brand new lens combining an indoor/outdoor tint with Fog-Off™.

“As Skullerz® Safety Glasses have become go-to eye protection for workers on and off the job, two clear favorites have emerged: frames with Kryptek® camo patterns and lenses with Fog-Off™,” said Andy Olson, associate product director, Ergodyne. “We’re excited to expand the offering in both areas just in time for the 2016 springtime work and sporting seasons.”

It’s no secret that cool drives compliance and now, workers have even more style options with a total of 39 new frame // lens combinations – including the popularOdin and Dagr models in Kryptek®’s Typhon™ pattern, and Dagr in a brand new white camo pattern, Kryptek® Yeti™. Skullerz® Eye Protection is one of the first to market with the unique Yeti™ pattern.

Lenses with Ergodyne’s Fog-Off™ technology are also now available in a variety of Kryptek® pattern frames, and have been added to black and matte gray colors in the popular Dagr frame. Fog-Off™ is an inherent, proprietary, and permanent technology that keeps lenses from fogging in even the most extreme weather conditions and won’t wash or wear off – so workers can leave their safety glasses on and maintain clear vision, staying safe and compliant at all times.

The Indoor/Outdoor w/ Fog-Off™ lens combines the best of both worlds and utilizes two technologies that go hand-in-hand. A 53 percent visual light transmission (VLT) is designed to work inside and out, a tint that’s not too dark and not too light, but just right. Since fogged lenses are often caused by temperature change and/or transitioning back and forth from indoors to out, adding Fog-Off™ to this lens option is a clear winner.

Like all Skullerz® Safety Glasses, each of these new frame and lens options meet both ANSI Z87.1+ High Velocity Impact protection standard, as well as the MIL-PRF 32432 Military Ballistic Impact Protection requirements, and provide 99.9 percent UVA/B/C protection.

“Skullerz® Safety Glasses have quickly become a workplace and weekend favorite,” said Tom Votel, president and CEO, Ergodyne. “These exciting new additions represent our continued commitment to the eye protection category … and we’re just getting started.”

Ideal for workers in industries such as construction, mining, and maintenance, and sportsmen and women who are looking for a cooler kind of concealment, this eye protection is available NOW at all authorized U.S. Ergodyne distributors and on our website.
