At least 58 killed in Las Vegas in worst mass shooting in U.S. history
A gunman who opened fire last night onto an outdoor country music concert in Las Vegas killed at least 58 people and injured more than 500 others, according to news sources. Many of those who were injured are in critical condition. Local hospitals are described as being “overwhelmed” by the number of casualties.
The shooter, identified by authorities as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, opened fire onto concertgoers at the outdoor event from the 32nd floor of a Las Vegas hotel. Paddock is dead, reportedly from suicide. Paddock checked into the hotel room on Sept. 28. Police reportedly found at least eight guns in his room after the shooting.
