High Energy and Heating Cost Savings with low-noise Filter Tower for Welding Fume

ULT
August 15, 2018

ULT LLC has recently introduced its ULT Airtower welding fume extraction system line that now comes with significant cost-saving potential.

The ULT Airtower line is equipped with innovative filtration technology “Made in Germany”, along with smart controlled EC blowers, leading to a reduction in power consumption of up to 60%. Additionally, noise emission is as less as 65 dB (A) when operating the optional efficiency package, making the welding fume extractor one of most quiet filter towers on the market.

The ULT Airtower line follows the layer ventilation principle, which is considered the best way of air circulation for welding shop floors. A filtration rate of >99.5% ensures highly purified air being provided back into the work area. Within a perfectly balanced energy record, it keeps the air inside the shop, not requiring any expensive systems for heating up outside air. This may result in annual heating cost savings of up to 70%, compared to conventional systems.

The ULT Airtower, available in four different variants, requires less than 1.5 kW / 2 HP power consumption per 35,300 cft / 1,000 m³ of cleaned air. These are powerful systems from 2,940 to 11,770 cfm (5,000 to 20,000 m³/h) airflow rate for effectively purifying nearly 4,120 cfm (7,000 m³/h) volume capacity.

A fully automatic cleaning system allows for extended lifetime of the filter cartridges, guaranteeing highest dust control possible at any time.

The ULT Airtower is based on the “plug and play” principle that in contrast to ‘classic‘ hall extraction systems avoids any needs for pipes and mounting efforts.

Add-ons, such as adsorbents, exchangeable filters for specific filtration needs, automated monitoring of air quality and radio remote control are just a few benefits of the ULT Airtower.
