ILLUMAGEAR, whose mission is to illuminate people working in high-risk environments, making them safer and more prepared, today announced that it has opened a round of $4 million, led with a $2.5 million investment from Brick & Mortar Ventures, the leading VC in the built space. The company plans to use the cash infusion for product development, team growth, and expanding its marketing activities.

ILLUMAGEAR’s flagship product, the Halo, is 360-degree Personal Lighting that attaches to any hard hat and enables the wearer to see their work area, while making him or her visible from over a quarter-mile away. The system is used in many industries, including construction, telecom, transportation, power, and railroad.
