Former OSHA chief John Henshaw, a baby boomer industrial hygienist, has sorted through career options and apparently sees a future in risk reduction. Earlier this month it was announced that Henshaw has signed on as "executive advisor" for C2® Facility Solutions, a Louisville business that develops software for asset management protection.

Facility managers in hospitals, chemical plants, military bases and office complexes use the software to improve emergency response planning, more effectively mitigate risk and business interruptions and optimize critical assets.

Could this be the new language of industrial hygiene?

"As a safety and health professional who has dedicated his life to reducing injuries, illnesses and loss of life in workplaces across the nation, I believe the products and services C2® offers help organizations reduce risk and create value," said Henshaw in a prepared statement.
