AIHce 2011 is considered the most important event of the year among EH&S professionals. AIHce covers everything from fundamental industrial hygiene to hot trends and emerging issues.

Meet Your Sponsors

Founded in 1939, the nonprofit American Industrial Hygiene Association® (AIHA) is one of the largest international associations serving the needs of occupational and environmental health and safety professionals practicing industrial hygiene in industry, government, labor, academic institutions, and independent organizations.

The American Council of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH®) is a member-based council dedicated to advancing industrial hygiene and occupational health by providing essential, cutting edge information to government, academia, and corporate facilities throughout the world.

Outside the Conference

Portland, Oregon received many accolades in 2010, including Best City for Summer Travel and Greenest City in America. The city also boasts unique elements like a multitude of microbreweries and distilleries; VooDoo Donuts, (try the famous bacon maple bar); the 24-hour Church of Elvis; food carts that provide many different cuisines from Hawaiian to Norse inspired food; and the best coffee houses.

City residents cherish green spaces like The International Rose Test Garden -- the oldest official, continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States (Portland is also known as the “City of Roses.”) Forest Park and Washington Park have many wooded acres and amenities that include play areas, picnic sites, playgrounds, soccer field, a stage, public art, tennis courts, and hiking trails. This appreciation of the out-of-doors has fostered Portland-based companies including Nike and Adidas.

The arts and prose are represented in the Portland Center for Performing Arts, art galleries, Portland Opera and Portland Ballet. Powell’s City of Books is located in the Pearl District on the edge of downtown, and occupies a full city block. With more than 68,000 square feet, it is the largest independent new and used bookstore in the world.
