Wiley X, Inc. takes to the street with six new street series models for 2012

Bold new models for men and women combine sleek looks with serious protection

February 2, 2012

Wiley XWiley X®, Inc.’s Street Series line of premium, performance sunglasses is a leading choice of active people who enjoy a wide range of activities — on the beach, in the great outdoors or out on the town.  Now, with the addition of six new Street Series models for 2012, fans of Wiley X will have a lot more to choose from.

Wiley X’s Street Series of Rx-ready glasses provide wearers with streetwise good looks and crystal clear vision for any activity, yet they offer the same advanced protection that has made Wiley X a leading choice of U.S. Armed Forces for more than 25 years.

Among the six new Street Series models are the new WX Censor™ and WX Twisted™, both offered in a combination of Polarized Smoke Green lenses and Gloss Black frames.  Both are also offered in a special Wiley X Black Ops edition, combining stealthy Matte Black frames with understated Smoke Grey lenses.  Wiley X’s Black Ops shades have become a favorite style on the street for that discreet look and were designed with off-duty law enforcement and tactical wearers in mind.

The new WX Mojo™ features distinctive Gloss Black Metallic Coffee frames matched with Wiley X’s Smoke Grey lenses.  A second version of the WX Mojo combines eye-catching Polarized Silver Flash lenses with Gloss Black frames.

Active people who want to make a bold impression will love the new WX Revolvr™ in a Pearl White frame with Wiley X’s Silver Flash lenses.
Rounding out this group of exciting new products are two new Street Series styles designed especially for women — the WX Chelsea™ and WX Abby™.  The new WX Chelsea is available in two fashionable configurations that go from the bike trail to the boardroom without missing a beat.  One matches a Liquid Plum Frame with Smoke Grey lenses and the other combines an Iced Tea frame with Polarized Bronze lenses.  The new WX Abby is also offered in two attention-grabbing versions — an Espresso Brown frame and Bronze lenses and a Black Marble frame fitted with Polarized Smoke Grey lenses.

Each one of these six new Street Series models has earned the stringent ANSI Z87.1-2003 High Velocity and High Mass impact safety rating for the most advanced protection available.  In fact, Wiley X is the only premium performance sunwear brand whose entire line meets this ANSI safety rating.  The WX Censor also goes above and beyond to meet the military’s GL-PD 10-12 safety standards.
