Larson Electronics releases a 25’ telescoping light mast with twelve LED light heads

March 3, 2014

25' telescoping light mastIndustrial lighting specialists Larson Electronics have announced the release of a 25 foot telescoping light mast with 360° rotating capabilities. The LM-25-3S-EPLC2-12X150RT-RB is a fold over light mast that provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy twelve 150 watt LED light heads that will illuminate approximately seven acres of work space.

The LM-25-3S-EPLC2-12X150RT-RB manufactured by Larson Electronics features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, twelve 150 watt LED light heads, and an easy fold over assembly for transportation and storing. This light boom can be extended to a height of 25 feet for effective coverage and collapsed to 12 feet. The mast is elevated from its folding position with a 1,000 pound hand winch that is fitted with ¼ inch cable. A second 1,000 pound winch provides the 12 to 25 foot elevation of the mast. The 360° rotation is provided by a single T-Handle. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. It can be locked into place once the desired position is found by tightening the T-Handle.

This light tower is equipped with twelve of our explosion proof 150 watt LED fixtures that produce 150,000 lumens of light combined. The lights are wired to an explosion proof junction box at the base of the tower with 10 feet of SOOW cable that is terminated in an explosion proof plug. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces by a 12” by 12”, ½” thick mounting baseplate which has been predrilled to accept four ¾” anchor bolts. When lowered to 12 feet, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 miles per hour. The light tower weighs approximately 425 pounds and can easily support and lift 150 pounds of weight.

“Our new class 1 division 2 telescoping light mast produces 150,000 lumens of intense, bright light that is capable of illuminating seven acres of work space,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “With that amount of light output, this tower is ideal for large construction sites, industrial plants, and mining and excavation projects, as well as sporting events.”

Larson Electronics produces a full range of industrial and commercial lighting equipment, telescoping light towers, explosion proof lighting, and LED work lights.
