Webinar: Exposures or Injuries? Change Your Focus and Transform Safety Functioning

Presenter: BST Principal Consultant Mike Duncan Date: June 22nd Time: 1 pm CST Duration: 1 hr Registration: FREE

One of the hallmarks of high-performing safety organizations is that they use exposure, not injury, as the trigger for change and the measure of success. This makes sense: focusing upstream of injuries is the surest way to prevent them in the first place. But what does it actually mean to change focus—and what are the implications for your existing goals, activities, and culture? This webinar, lead by BST 's Principal Consultant, Mike Duncan, looks at the principles behind the exposure focus and shows you how to apply them to your own organization to boost safety functioning and results.

This webinar covers:
  • The difference between exposure focus and injury focus
  • Three ways that exposure focus "changes the game" in safety
  • Understanding the risk assessment fallacy inherent to an injury focus
  • How to tell what’s driving safety functioning in your organization
  • Different levels, same focus: How to apply an exposure focus from the front-line to the corner office
