Scott 100% recycled fiber products receive Green Seal™ certification (3/5)

Kimberly-Clark Professional announced in a recent press release that it has received Green Seal certification for its Scott brand 100% recycled fiber products.

The Scott brand towel and tissue products are designed for customers who are interested in or mandated to use 100% recycled fiber washroom products. They earned the Green Seal certification by meeting the organization’s rigorous environmental standards for towel and tissue products.

The Scott brand 100% recycled fiber, Green Seal-certified offerings include:
C-Fold Towels, Multi-Fold Towels, Hard Roll Towels, JRT Jr. Bathroom Tissue (both one- and two-ply), and two-ply Standard Roll Bathroom Tissue. The products will soon feature new packaging graphics highlighting the Green Seal certification.

“Kimberly-Clark Professional prides itself on our balanced approach to the environment,” said Andy Clement, director of the washroom business for Kimberly-Clark Professional. “We have long been leaders in providing environmentally sound, source-reduced products. Our Green Seal-certified products offer another alternative for customers interested in or required to use 100% recycled fiber products and who may seek the assurance of third-party certification.”

As part of its commitment to sustaining the environment and helping customers use less and waste less, Kimberly-Clark Professional continues to invest in technologies that promote the inclusion of recycled fiber while maintaining the optimal performance of its products, the company says. The Green Seal-certified Scott brand 100% recycled fiber offerings are in addition to a full line of source-reduced Kleenex and Scott brand washroom products.

Kimberly-Clark Professional is also a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the nation’s leading nonprofit coalition advancing buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. The company has partnered with USGBC primarily in support of the Council’s efforts to advance the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Program for Existing Buildings.
