ASSE Orlando conference & expo sets exhibitor record (6/25)

The American Society of Safety Engineers' (ASSE) 2007 Exposition, which got under way yesterday at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., has set a new record for the number of exhibitors and space sold, according to ASSE.

Being held with the annual ASSE Professional Development Conference (PDC), the expo runs through Tuesday, June 26. The PDC lasts until Wednesday, June 27.

According to ASSE, 57,950 square feet of exhibitor square feet sold for the 2007 Orlando PDC and Exposition, surpassing its record of 52,780 square feet sold for last year’s PDC and Exposition in Seattle. About 400 companies are exhibiting at this year’s expo, including Fortune 500 companies, federal agencies, non-profit organizations like the American Red Cross and the American Heart Association, colleges and more.
