Ergo issues confront industry
With or without strong OSHA action, ergonomics will not fade from the radar screen of workplace safety and health pros.
Why?
Aging workers, for one reason. More than one-third of pros surveyed by Industrial Safety & Hygiene News (38%) say an aging workforce is having a significant impact on safety and health efforts in their workplace.
Lean and mean operations are a larger concern. Almost half of those surveyed (46%) say an increased workload on employees is a significant concern.
