Honeywell combines Sperian Protection and Honeywell Safety Products

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced that it will combine Sperian Protection with Honeywell Safety Products to form one global personal protective equipment company. The combined company will be called Honeywell Safety Products and will continue to be part of the Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions Life Safety business.

William Hayes, current president of Honeywell Safety Products, has been named President of the new entity.

"Bringing together Honeywell Safety Products and Sperian Protection creates a dynamic business, well-positioned to be the best global personal protective equipment provider in the industry," said Mark S. Levy, President and CEO of Honeywell Life Safety. "The integration of these world class leaders will allow us to offer our customers the best solutions, and further capitalize on opportunities presented by this high-growth market."
