International workshop set for generic control of chemical exposures

Practical experience in the use of generic control strategies for reducing exposure to chemicals gained in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, plus updates on national initiatives in several countries and a collaborative program of the International Labor Organization, the International Occupational Hygiene Association, and the British Health and Safety Executive will be discussed.

The banding approach has particular practical relevance to the control of chemical hazards in developing countries and is being piloted by the World Health Organization.
