US, Mexico sign agreement on border environmental issues

 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa P. Jackson and Mexico’s Secretary for the Environment and Natural Resources Juan Elvira Quesada yesterday signed the Border 2020 U.S.-Mexico Environmental program agreement which wil laddress high priority environmental and public health problems in the 2,000 mile border region.

Does it make economic sense for employers to offer or expand paid sick leave benefits to their employees? A new NIOSH study published in the American Journal of Public Health reported that workers with access to paid sick leave were 28% less likely overall to suffer nonfatal occupational injuries than workers without access to paid sick leave.
