OSHA has started a medical monitoring program for beryllium.

Any OSHA employee who has participated in an inspection where beryllium sampling was found to be above the detectable limit will be notified. After reviewing all educational materials and evaluating exposure history, OSHA employees will decide for themselves if they want to participate in this voluntary program.

To participate, employees must sign an enclosed consent form. Once signed, a blood test can be scheduled.
