Behavior is motivated by the consequences it produces especially when that consequence happens right after the behavior with high certainty. Thus, the most effective tools are those that deliver reinforcement to the worker immediately after the safe behavior. With this in mind, peer-to-peer feedback can be delivered almost immediately because the worker works alongside the other worker. This type of feedback is more certain to happen and it is valued by workers. Peer-to-peer feedback should not only alert workers to at-risk behaviors but it is just as important to reinforce safe behaviors.
