Strong exhibit space demand for A+A 2015: Additional hall to be used
Nine months before the start of A+A 2015, International Trade Fair with Congress for Safety, Security and Health at Work, the show is experiencing strong exhibit space demand, recording further growth and adding a hall. With about 699,650 square feet of booked space, this leading event for the industry will again exceed the record figures of the show’s last staging in 2013 (approximately 653,300 sq. ft.). A+A will be held from October 27 – 30, 2015 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.
“In recent years, A+A has been able to gradually extend its leading international market position through constantly growing exhibitor and visitor numbers and the current registration levels confirm this trend. This year we are expecting almost 1,800 exhibitors,” stated Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf.
A+A 2015 will focus on three segments: personal protection, corporate safety and health at work/corporate health. “On one hand these three major areas traditionally form the focal points at A+A. But they adapt by keeping up with the changes and requirements in the work place and taking current trends into account, geared towards the needs of the core target groups from the corporate safety and health management sector,” explained Birgit Horn, Director of A+A 2015. “The corporate health segment is a good example. Every company is only as healthy and efficient as its employees. Modern managers take this seriously and are increasingly investing in corporate health promotion and preventive measures. With the exhibits, congress and live presentation, A+A is offering an extensive range of corresponding information.”
Clearly structured and now also in Hall 11
A+A 2015 will occupy nine halls at the Düsseldorf exhibition center. Exhibitors in the personal protective equipment sector (including Corporate Fashion) will occupy Halls 3, 4, 5, 7.0, 9, 10 and now also in the newly added Hall 11. The A+A Fashion Show will also be staged in Hall 11. The corporate safety segment (including special equipment for fire protection and disaster/emergency management planning) will be located in Halls 6 and 7a.
South Korea will be the partner country of A+A 2015. This nation is not only pursuing an ambitious socio-political agenda for the implementation of safe and productive workplaces in its own country. With the support of the International Labour Organziation (ILO), South Korea is also actively involved in numerous occupational safety projects in other nations in the region such as Myanmar. With a working population of 24 million, the market is regarded as particularly attractive for suppliers of work safety equipment.
Comprehensive and international congress program
In addition to the products on display and the numerous theme parks, an established component of A+A is the international A+A Congress which generally attracts over 5,000 participants. In 60 lectures, the congress will address the areas of safety, health and ergonomics. The international program will offer simultaneous translation (German – English) and will deal with topics such as occupational diseases, personal protective equipment, green jobs and prevention, training and qualification as well as auditing and certification.
An important part of the A+A Congress will be the conference organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO), offering a dialogue and information platform on worldwide trends in the area of prevention. The focus will be on the question on how labor and social standards can be secured when it comes to humane working conditions for everyone worldwide.
A further highlight in the A+A 2015 ancillary program will be the international specialist trade conference, organized by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with the Federal Association of Technical Trade (VTH). Entitled “Global Trends in Personal Protective Equipment”, the English language lectures presented by industry experts will examine various aspects of the indirect marketing of personal protective equipment as well as technical requirements.
The core target group of the A+A includes representatives from the a corporate occupational protection and safety management, specialist retailers, personnel managers, industrial buyers, company physicians, owners of smaller companies but also personnel and works councils as well as active members of the fire brigade, police and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief.
