Graphic Products expands corporate headquarters

Expansion will increase operational capacity and company growth

September 22, 2015

Graphic ProductsGraphic Products will increase operations in fiscal 2016. The company purchased a new building, offering 77,500 square feet on the company's corporate campus.

The property addition will result in a 43% increase in operational capacity, positively impacting all facets of the business – from engineering, to warehouse operations, to sales. The company will extensively renovate the property, investing an estimated six figures into the project, which will be fully staffed by 2016.

“It is both our recent, and planned future expansion of our product lines and services that is driving our growth,” said Steve Stephenson, Chief Strategy Officer with Graphic Products. “The expansion of our assembly and manufacturing operations have brought more work into the company and jobs to the U.S. Continued investment in engineering has resulted in new equipment and software offerings. We are also expanding the scope of our business to include more sign and labeling products as well as safety products.”

The company's history is one of expansion. Graphic Products evolved from distributing a wide array of poster printers, label makers, an engravers, to becoming a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and sales of workplace labeling and signage systems. Over the course of 45 years, the woman-owned and family-run company has designed visual communication solutions for space exploration, military missions, deep sea diving, mining, education, and more.

The company launched its flagship brand in 2001, introducing the DuraLabel line of thermal transfer label printers. While its reach is global, Graphic Products has solid roots and investment in its community. The local building expansion is a testament to that commitment.

“Graphic Products was founded in Portland in 1970,” said Dave Smart, Chief Operating Officer at Graphic Products. “By 1977, growth moved us to Beaverton and we’ve called the city home ever since. The Portland metropolitan area attracts good people, and good people are what drive Graphic Products forward.”

Graphic Products is an innovative leader, providing solutions for safety and visual communication. The company's full line of safety products and services are designed for the modern workforce. Graphic Products leads the industry with safety training materials, educational resources, and up-to-date news and compliance information on topics like arc flash, chemical labeling, and pipe marking.
