Increase mercury vapor detection range by 10X

New vapor dilution module extends detection range of the Jerome J505 from nanograms to milligrams

January 29, 2016

Arizona InstrumentHow it works:

The new 10:1 dilution module for the J505 reduces the concentration of mercury vapor in the sample stream by a factor of ten, allowing for a much higher detection limit. Rather than the standard upper detection limit of 500 μg/m3, the new J505 dilution module lets you detect mercury vapor concentrations as high as 5,000 g/m3.

Why it is important:

The J505 10:1 dilution module is useful for situations in which the mercury vapor concentration in the area you are sampling will be higher than what your J505 can measure.

Common applications:

The dilution module for the J505 will be a valuable asset for environmental response teams performing inspections, investigations and remedial action. It would also be useful for monitoring mercury vapor in industrial hygiene and hazmat situations as well as in or around landfills.

For detailed instructions on how to use the dilution module you may access the user’s manual on our website. If you have any other questions or would like to speak with one of our application consultants, visit us online at www.azic.com or give us a call at (800) 528-7411.
