Larry GarnerOver the 44 year history of MCR Safety, Larry Garner has been an integral part of our leadership team. As Larry nears his 40th anniversary with our company, he will be transitioning into semi-retirement. MCR Safety's success and reputation in the market is due in a large part to Larry's contributions. Starting with the most humble of beginnings with Hilliard Crews, our founder, and working tirelessly over the years, Larry has helped MCR Safety grow and expand into one of the most respected companies in the PPE industry. Larry's energy, passion and excitement, even today, are a model for new leaders. Now he wishes to spend more time with family (especially his grandkids) and other personal interests.

"In addition to his full plate at MCR, Larry also serves on the Board of his church, serves in soup kitchens, clothes closets for the homeless and maintains a personal training regime that would be envied by people 20 years his junior!" stated Mitch Lewellen, Chief Executive Officer.

Going forward, Larry will continue to be a visible part of our team on a part-time, semi-retired basis. He will mentor and assist our team by continuing his participation with tradeshows, end user events, International Glove Association (IGA), as well as serving on the University of Memphis Advisory Marketing Board.

We are also happy to announce that effective April 1, 2018, Chris Smith will assume the position of Director of Marketing. Chris brings with him 15 years of sales, product, and customer knowledge the he will be able to successfully leverage into his new role and position. He will continue to work closely with all departments with a direct focus of further integrating our Sales and Marketing strategies.

Chris expressed "It is a privilege and honor to follow in the footsteps of Larry and I look forward to the opportunity to grow and strengthen MCR Safety's brand in the marketplace."

MCR Safety appreciates and thanks Larry for all his past contributions and for his commitment to continue to serve our company in the future!  Also, join us in congratulating Chris Smith on his new role and position!
