Information Station Specialists (theRADIOsource.com) announced that it is shipping the first of four of portable emergency advisory radio stations known as RadioSTAT Systems to Maui, Hawaii. Three additional stations are scheduled to follow soon.

These community-coverage radio stations are designed to inform residents and workers in Lahaina and at key checkpoints about where to find help and supplies and to update them on changing regulations that impact daily life, including curfews and safety requirements.

The State of Hawaii Emergency Management Agency purchased the stations to deploy as needed to any location in the Hawaiian Islands where future emergencies impact safety.

The Federal Communications Commission, last Friday, granted the State of Hawaii an emergency authorization to use the stations immediately at four specific locations on the island of Maui.
