Pelican i1075 HardBack™ case protects the Apple iPad/iPad 2

November 11, 2011

The iPad™ currently holds more than 70% of the consumer market which means that if you own a tablet computer, you probably have one. This is why Pelican Products, Inc., the global leader in both the design and manufacture of high-performance protective case solutions, has introduced the Pelican i1075 HardBack™ case.

Designed as watertight/ crush-resistant armor for the iPad and iPad 2, the case was developed in a unique partnership between Pelican and BMW Designworks (a division of BMW). “We are pleased to have combined BMW’s amazing design know-how with our 30+ years of experience to produce a tough and innovative way to transport and protect this amazing device,” said Dinis Jablonski, Director of Product Management.

Fitting in most soft bags, the case features a special molded foam system designed to protect and secure the iPad or iPad 2, along with an Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard, a power adapter, ear buds and download cables. The foam system also acts as an easel for the device in either horizontal or vertical positions so the user can work straight out of the case.

The Pelican i1075 is drop tested from heights of up to three feet and can survive the rigors of travel because it sports a high-impact, heat and chemically resistant polymer shell that will stand up to some of the harshest conditions known to man. In addition to its virtually indestructible construction, it features a strong, easy-snap, polymer latch to ensure the case stays closed in rough situations and an o-ring seal that ensures that it stays watertight in up to three feet of water. The case’ automatic pressure equalization valve keeps moisture out and makes it easier to open the case at any altitude.

With an MSRP of $84.95, Pelican i1075 also features a sturdy, removable nylon shoulder strap so travelers can keep a firm hold on their gear. The Pelican 1075 HardBack is also available with either an anti-scratch foam interior or Pick N Pluck™ foam for $69.95 MSRP each. Both the i1075 and 1075 are part of the Pelican HardBack Series which is designed to protect and secure portable electronics from 7 and 10 inch tablets to 14 and 15 inch laptops. Like all Pelican™ products, they are backed by a Legendary Guarantee of Excellence. For more information visit www.pelican.com/i1075.
