Viking Pure™ System creates non-toxic cleaning & sanitizing solutions on-site

Air Cycle Corporation and Viking Pure, LLC join forces to help people and our environment by providing equipment to produce non-toxic “electrolyzed” water to clean and sanitize

July 29, 2013

Viking PureAir Cycle Corporation is proud to announce Viking Pure which is an electrolyzed water technology that allows organizations of all varieties to create their own non-toxic cleaning and sanitizing solutions on-site, in real-time and for a fraction of the cost of traditional cleaning and sanitizing chemicals. What is remarkable is that all this is done using nothing more than water, a little salt, and a small charge of electricity.  The system transforms the ions in the water into two safe solutions. Within the unit, chloride ions are converted into Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl), a sanitizer with a kill time of just seconds, while sodium ions are transformed into Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH), an alkaline solution used as a grease cutter and cleaner. Both are non-toxic to humans and the environment, containing no harsh chemicals and releasing no fumes during use. Creating non-toxic cleaners and sanitizers on-site not only helps the immediate environment by eliminating harmful chemicals and allergens, but also our environment in general by eliminating the packaging and shipment of cleaning and sanitizing supplies.

Viking Pure is currently in use at Reliance Machine Company in Muncie, IN. “We use the system in a myriad of ways including cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and kitchen areas, washing down machinery, washing down shop and office floors and cleaning glass windows throughout the facility,” said Reliance president, Richard Cardemon. “I am pleased to say we have reduced our general cleaning chemical usage by almost 85% and replaced it with electrolyzed water at a cost of less than two cents per gallon.”

Electrolyzed water is cleared for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration/U.S. Department of Agriculture (FDA/USDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use in the Food, Hospitality, Healthcare and Agricultural industries with the applications ranging from home use to industrial use. OMRI certification is pending.
