The integration of NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and NFPA 70B, Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance, are key in the establishment of an electrical safety program. Both standards complement each other and must be used in combination for a comprehensive program. This session covers the requirements of these overlapping standards for complete program establishment and implementation.
Learning Objectives:
- List electrical safety program requirements as outlined in NFPA 70B Section 4.2 and NFPA 70E Article 110.3.
- Identify overlapping components of electrical safety in both NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E standards.
- Implement required components of the electrical safety program for energized work and electrical equipment maintenance.
- Evaluate strategies for maintaining compliance and ensuring continuous improvement within an established electrical safety program.
