As another National Ladder Safety Month comes to a close, event organizers remind all ladder users that safety is a year-long commitment.

The American Ladder Institute (ALI) is conducting its 2026 Ladder Safety Training and Citations Survey.

Each year’s National Ladder Safety Month has its own theme and focus areas for each week in the month. 2025's theme is Every Step Matters. 

The goals of National Ladder Safety Month are to raise awareness of ladder safety, decrease injuries and fatalities caused by ladder misuse, and increase the number of people certified in Ladder Safety Training.

Recognizing 2024 as a leap year, the Jobsite Safety and Security (JSS) team identified the opportunity to add an extra day to spread the word about ladder safety. 

Every March, the American Ladder Safety Institute raises awareness about ladder safety and encourages engagement in annual training events. 

Because safety never takes a break, now is the time to take the lessons learned in March and carry them forward all year long.

 NIOSH, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Center for Construction Research and Training are promoting a national campaign to prevent workplace falls. March 2021 marks the Fifth Annual National Ladder Safety Month.
