The newest college or university EHS degree program to join ISHM’s Board Approved Degree Programs is the Bachelors of Science in Environmental Health and Safety from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Mo.
The Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM) says it will participate in the new new standard for global occupational health and safety (OH&S) that will be developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
After more than a year of development, safety professionals can now apply for the Certified Safety Management Practitioner (CSMP) from the Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM). The cert will be grandfathered during 2013, meaning qualified applicants can achieve the CSMP without taking an exam.
