Streamlight introduces high-output 4AA Propolymax

Newest addition to Streamlight ProPolymer series features TEN-TAP programming

May 9, 2013

Streamlight® Inc., a leading provider of high-performance lighting and weapon light/laser sighting devices, introduced the 4AA ProPolymax™, the brightest addition to Streamlight’s ProPolymer® family. Delivering 300 lumens on high, the light also features Streamlight’s flexible TEN-TAP™ programming. The new light has a Class 1, Division 2 safety rating for use in hazardous locations.

“The new 4AA ProPolymax combines an impact- and chemical-resistant engineering polymer casing, and C4® LED technology to create a virtually indestructible, super bright light,” said Streamlight Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Michael F. Dineen. “It’s the perfect light for industrial, automotive, fire/rescue and other personnel who frequently find themselves in punishing and potentially hazardous work environments.”

The TEN-TAP programmable switch enables users to select from among three programs: high/low/strobe (factory default); high only; or low/high. The multi-function, push-button tactical tail switch allows for one-handed operation of the light’s modes.

The new light delivers 300 lumens and a 2-hour and 45-minute run time on high; 50 lumens and 24-hour run time on low. The strobe setting offers a run time of 6 continuous hours. The light’s smooth parabolic reflector produces a tight beam with optimum peripheral illumination.

The safety rating for the 4AA ProPolymax is Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Class II, Division 2, Groups F, G; and Class III Hazardous Locations or Non-Hazardous Locations only.

The 4AA ProPolymax weighs 8.2 ounces with included batteries, measures 7 inches in length and uses four (4) “AA” size alkaline batteries. The light fits the Streamlight helmet mount, designed for fire helmets. It also can be used with a Streamlight belt clip, as well as the Poly Mount kit, which includes clip-on and self-adhesive mounts for hard hats.

It is available in high visibility yellow, orange or black.

The 4AA ProPolymax has an MSRP of $ 75.00, and includes Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Based in Eagleville, PA, Streamlight, Inc. is marking 40 years of making tough, durable, long-lasting flashlights designed to serve the specialized needs of professionals and consumers alike.
