Thousands of Industrial Safety & Hygiene News subscribers jumped online to vote in ISHN’s 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards between March 1 and May 1, 2013. The results are in, and ISHN Publisher Randy Green has released the list of winning entries.

All winning entries will receive recognition in ISHN’s August issue and an enewsletter as well as a glass award commemorating their category achievement.

The objective was direct: Today’s safety marketplace has more technological advances than many people are aware of. More tech innovations than ever before. Let’s recognize today’s most innovative personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety products.

“ISHN readers showed incredible interest in the contest,” said ISHN Publisher Randy Green. “We were overwhelmed by the vote count. It proves that safety and health managers use both print and web platforms to keep up with the latest safety product technology. It is a crucial part of their jobs.”

The ISHN Readers’ Choice Awards web site allowed voters to click on any category and view entry images, along with product specifications and a paragraph by vendors explaining why the product deserved to be a winner. Voters clicked the button next to their chosen entry. All responses are 100% confidential. All entries were presented (photograph and text) in the March print edition of ISHN.

And that’s not all. Safety and health managers attending the American Society of Safety Engineers’ Safety 2013 conference in Las Vegas June 24-27 can vote in the new ISHN – ASSE Attendee Choice Awards to be conducted on the show floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The products presented in the March issue of ISHN and showcased on ISHN’s special awards web site will be on display at the special expanded ISHN awards entry booth 1185 so voters can get a hands-on feel for the entries. Voting will be open during all exposition hours, with the winners announced on Wednesday June 26.
