Crane operator killed in Camden, N.J., dock accident (2/26)
An industrial accident that occurred early Monday morning at a Camden, N.J., dock resulted in the death of a crane operator, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Krzystof A. Zarotynski, 57, was killed at the Beckett Street Terminal around 6 a.m., said Joseph Balzano, executive director of the South Jersey Port Corp. Further details will not be released until an investigation into the incident has been completed. An internal port team, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, and state Public Employee Occupational Safety and Health Program are investigating the incident.
Balzano said that the port’s investigation will look into the circumstances of the accident and determine whether all safety measures were taken, the Inquirer article reports.
