NAOSH and I2P2 meetings ahead (6/13)



OSHA will hold a meeting of the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH) on June 21-22 in Washington, D.C.

The Injury and Illness Prevention Programs and Recordkeeping work groups will also meet June 21, and the full committee will meet on June 22.

NACOSH, a continuing advisory committee established under the OSH Act of 1970, has advised the secretaries of labor, and health and human services for nearly 40 years on worker safety issues.

The NACOSH agenda will include remarks from Dr. David Michaels, assistant secretary of labor for Occupational Safety and Health, and Dr. John Howard, director, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The agenda also will include discussions on injury and illness prevention programs and recordkeeping issues, and a discussion with OSHA and NIOSH on chemical policy.

NACOSH will meet from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 22 at the U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20210. The Injury and Illness Prevention Programs and Recordkeeping work groups will meet Tuesday, June 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The committee and work group meetings will be held in Room N-4437 A-D.

NACOSH meetings are open to the public. Individuals may submit comments and requests to speak at http://www.regulations.gov, the Federal eRulemaking Portal. Submissions may also be sent by mail or facsimile. See the Federal Register notice for details. Comments must be submitted by June 16, 2011.
