OSHA reaches out to dentists & 'brownfields' workers

A new technical links page on OSHA's Web site (www.osha.gov) provides help to dental professionals who are at risk for exposure to numerous biological, chemical, environmental, physical and psychological workplace hazards. These hazards include, but are not limited to, the spectrum of bloodborne pathogens, pharmaceuticals and other chemical agents, human factors, ergonomic hazards, noise, vibration and workplace violence.

Another new Web page addresses worker health and safety at brownfields - property ready for development or redevelopment that might be contaminated by hazardous substances, pollutants or other toxins. It provides OSHA compliance information and links to tools for identifying, evaluating and controlling employee exposures and for complying with applicable OSHA standards.
