Summit Training supports safety & health education through donation to ASSE Foundation

In support of research and education in the occupational safety, health and the environmental (SH&E) field, Grand Rapids, MI-based Summit Training Source Inc. recently contributed $5,000 to the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Foundation, bringing the company’s total contributions to $40,000 since 2000.

ASSE Foundation Chair Cynthia L. Roth, COHN, said, “We are grateful to Summit for its continued commitment to and support of the advancement of the SH&E profession through ASSE Foundation programs providing college scholarships, research funding and professional development grants.”

ASSE Foundation Board of Trustees member Valerie Overheul is the founder and president of Summit, a recognized leader for environmental, safety and health training programs. Over the years, Overheul has been committed to supporting such programs as scholarships, research and the Foundation's Career Guide, a publication on the SH&E profession requested by students around the globe.
