Industrial lighting specialist Larson Electronics has announced the release of a 30’ telescoping light mast equipped with 1,600 watts of high intensity LED light. The LM-30-3S-4X400W-LED is a three stage fold over light mast that provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy 1600 watts of intense LED lighting to elevations of thirty feet.

The LM-30-3S-4X400W-LED produced by Larson Electronics features a rotating boom that allows for 360° of rotation, a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use, and an easy fold over assembly for transportation and storing purposes. This light boom can be extended to a height of thirty feet for effective coverage and collapsed to twelve feet. The mast is elevated from its folding position with a 2,500 pound hand winch that is fitted with 3/16 inch cable. A second 2,500 pound winch provides the 12 to 30 feet elevation of the mast. The 360° rotation is provided by a single T-Handle. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. It can be locked into place once the desired position is found by tightening the T-Handle.

The lighting system on this light mast is comprised of four 400 watt LED lamps producing 52,000 lumens of light each attached to the end of the telescoping light boom. These flood lights produce a wide flood light pattern with a combined total of 1,600 watts and 508,000 lumens of light. These lights are ideal replacements for fragile and hot running 1000 watt metal halide lamps, offering increased durability, longer lamp life, and lower power consumption. The entire lighting assembly is connected to the power source via a 4-switch control box. Each light head is on an individual circuit and can be powered on or off independently of the other light fixtures. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces by a 15” by 13”, ¼” thick mounting baseplate which has been predrilled to accept six 5/8” anchor bolts. A 52” long mounting plate constructed of 2” by 2” by ¼” thick carbon steel is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the four LED fixtures.
