National Hearing Conservation Association 2015 annual conference

January 5, 2015
The National Hearing Conservation Association is approaching its 40th anniversary, and NHCA is offering free membership to those who qualify as an individual, associate, professional service provider, or commercial member and have never previously held membership in NHCA — occupational and clinical audiologists, industrial hygienists, occupational health nurses, acoustical engineers and technicians, physicians, occupational health and safety professionals and other professionals who work in the field of hearing conservation.

“This membership offer introduces the NHCA family to those who have thought of joining NHCA before but just never have,” said NHCA Executive Director, Kim Schwartz.

NHCA is a network of leading experts, early adopters and trendsetters in the field of hearing conservation and hosts one of the best networking opportunities in the field through its annual conference.

2015 conference

The 2015 annual conference and exhibition will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the Astor Crowne Plaza from Thursday, February 19th to Saturday, February 21st.

Thursday workshops focus on the basics of hearing loss prevention, new product offerings, tinnitus, cell death associated with hazardous noise, assessment of hearing protection attenuation, a forum for professional service providers, and the opportunity to sign up for a CAOHC Professional Supervisor of the Audiometric Monitoring Program workshop.

Friday’s keynote address focuses on “Stories, characters, and events from a peripatetic journey through 75 years of hearing conservation, and the role of NHCA.”

On Saturday, hot industry topics will be discussed during breakfast roundtables, followed by breakouts focusing on hearing protection, fit testing, firearms and noise control. The meeting will conclude with research presentations.
