50 watt LED flood light on telescoping tripod released by Larson Electronics

February 2, 2015

Product InnovationsIndustrial lighting specialist Larson Electronics has announced the release of a 50 watt LED work light mounted to a telescoping tripod. Equipped with one male and one female cord cap connected to six inches of SOOW cord, this unit was designed to allow operators to daisy chain multiple units together.

The WALTP-WP500-E2E light tower from Larson Electronics extends from 3.5’ to 10’ and provides high intensity output for operators looking for an economical, effective alternative to quartz halogen tripods. The light head on this unit provides a wide flood light beam and consists of one adjustable LED light with four 12.5 watt LEDs paired with specular reflectors behind an unbreakable lens. This LED light tower is designed to withstand demanding conditions and is waterproof, vapor proof, and built to resist the damaging effects of an outdoor environment. The heavy duty aluminum tripod is durable, lightweight and adjustable to any length between 3.5’ and 10’. The tripod legs collapse and the light head bracket is removable for simple portability and deployment.

The light head contains four 12.5 watt LEDs housed within a waterproof aluminum housing that is powder coated for added durability and resistance to corrosion. The housing incorporates integral cooling fins for efficient heat dissipation and increased LED longevity. The lamp assembly is protected by a shatterproof polycarbonate lens which is secured to the housing with a waterproof seal. A ½” waterproof connector provides a secure and sealed power connection point. The LED lamp head is equipped with male and female cord caps connected to six inches of SOOW cord which allows operators to daisy chain multiple tripods together. This light will operate on 100-277 volts AC. This light can be easily stored and carried in a work truck for rapid deployment as a scene light for first responders to downed lines, main breaks, or accident scenes.

“Featuring LED technology, this flood light does not require any warm up time and can be cycled on and off without any reduction in lamp life,” Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectornics.com said. “This light is comparable to 500 watt quartz lights without the high heat, fragile construction, or high energy use.”

Larson Electronics produces a full range of industrial and commercial lighting equipment, HID work lights, portable light towers, generator powered light towers, and LED work lights.
