Ergodyne and the safety community raise over $230k for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

July 31, 2015

Ergodyne hosted its eighteenth annual 65 Roses Golf Classic: A Tenacious Tournament™ Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Legends Golf Club in Prior Lake, Minnesota. The sold out event brings together leading safety industry manufacturers, distributors, reps, and end users from all over North America to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). This year, an amazing $234,125 was raised for a total of $2.63 million since the tournament began in 1997. Primary sponsors of the 2015 tournament included Superior 3rd Party Logistics, the Votel Family Foundation, ISK Industries, JDF Associates, and Sqwincher.

"Year after year, we are inspired and humbled by the tremendous generosity of our beloved safety community," said Tom Votel, president and CEO of Ergodyne. "There's no question that 65 Roses has become a premier safety networking event - however, at its core and most importantly, it allows us to come together and raise some money for a very worthy cause. We think that's something to feel really good about."

The CFF announced on July 2, 2015 the approval of a new drug, Orkambi that will benefit 60% of CF patients. Like Kalydeco™, this new drug will drastically lower the symptoms by correcting the basic genetic defect of cystic fibrosis. Together with Kalydeco and Orakambi, almost 70% of CF patients are taking a "daily cure," according to Votel. Attendees and supporters of this year's 65 Roses were encouraged to keep fighting the good fight for the rest of the CF population.

For more information on cystic fibrosis or to donate to the cause, visit www.cff.org. To sign up for next year's event on July 18, 2016, email 65roses@ergodyne.com and secure your spot!
