Larson Electronics releases a 400 watt portable LED light tower for general work area illumination

September 4, 2015

Industrial lighting specialist Larson Electronics has announced the release of a 400 watt portable LED light tower designed to provide operators in large work areas with a durable, reliable, and bright source of illumination that is powerful enough to illuminate a 49,000 square foot area.

The WAL-C-20F-400LTL-LED quadpod mounted mini LED light tower from Larson Electronics provides 52,000 lumens of light capable of illuminating 49,000 square feet of space. The single 400 watt LED light head on this unit is available in a wide spot or flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating large workspaces and jobsites. The lamp head assembly is adjustable, allowing operators the ability to move the light up, down, and from side to side for maximum coverage of the work area. The light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage, and transport. This portable LED light tower is comprised of a removable light assembly fitted with one LED lamp mounted atop a four leg quadpod fabricated from heavy duty steel equipped with ten inch wheels for easy positioning of the unit from one area of the work space to another. The unit is extended and lowered using an included hand crank cable winch equipped with a brake for fast and safe deployment. This adjustable quadpod can be extended to twenty feet and collapsed to twelve feet. An included control box containing the ballast is included and features a built in on/off switch, line circuit protection, and a power indicator. Included with this lighting system is twenty-five feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant cord that is fitted with an optional industrial grade cord cap and is configured to operate on 120-277 volts AC.

“The easy to collapse design of this tower allows users to easily break down the unit in order to transport it from one work space to another,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “This unit is constructed to withstand the most demanding applications where dependable, durable lighting is required.”

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distributions, explosion proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights.
