Protection, durability and style – Tingley does it again with the Orion XT Traction Overshoe

January 14, 2016

TingleyTingley Rubber Corporation, a leading supplier of protective footwear and clothing, announces the introduction of Winter-Tuff® Orion XTTM Ice Traction Overshoes in sizes S to 2XL to fit men’s work boots 4 to 15. “Tingley has long been known as the ‘overshoe company’ and we’re upholding that tradition with the debut of the Orion XT”, said Robert Petersen, Product Manager for Tingley Rubber.

Built to last, the waterproof, 840 denier nylon upper is direct-injection molded to a polyurethane bottom for 100% waterproof protection. Fourteen, permanent tungsten-carbide ice cleats provide sure-footed traction and will not rust, corrode or break. Reflective piping on the front, back and sides provides 360° nighttime conspicuity – a safety feature not seen on competing products.

The extra wide gusset, overlapping hook-and-loop closure, and adjustable instep strap with quick-release fastener means the Orion XT fits well and is comfortable to wear. “Today’s professionals wear large work boots and the Orion XT was designed to not only fit these contemporary styles but to make it easy to put on and take off”, said Petersen.

Two styles of Orion XT are available. Style #7550 provides coverage up to fourteen inches, while Style #7550G adds a roll-a-way gaiter that extends coverage up to 20 inches for walking in deep snow.

The Orion XT joins Tingley’s Winter-Tuff® family of traction footwear, providing sure-footed traction for workers, recreationalists, and others who want to be safe when walking on ice and snow packed surfaces. Tingley products have been protecting generations of workers since 1896 and are available from authorized distributors in the US and Canada. For more information please contact a Tingley Sales Representative or visit the Tingley website at www.tingleyrubber.com.
