Navigate the winter landscape with confidence

September 8, 2016

Tingley Rubber Corporation, a leading supplier of protective footwear and clothing, announces a new style in the Orion™ overshoe product line. “Following the successes of the Winter-Tuff® Orion XT™ Ice Traction Overshoe last season, we’ve added a new, non-studded overshoe in sizes S to 2XL to fit work boots sizes 4 to 15”, said J.B. McCollum, Project Specialist for Tingley Rubber. Available in Style #7500G, the Orion has a 14-inch standard height with a 6-inch roll-a-way gaiter to expand coverage to 20 inches for deep snow conditions.

“This is not your grandfather’s overshoe,” said McCollum. The Orion is a durable, stylish overshoe that offers excellent protection against winter’s harshest elements. The upper is constructed from high strength 840 denier nylon, coated with sturdy polyurethane, and then direct-attached to lightweight polyurethane midsole and a durable, two color outsole to create a waterproof, anti-fatigue overshoe with heavy-duty performance.

The sleek black upper has an extra wide gusset to provide easy on and off even with today’s oversized work boots, while the overlapping hook-and-loop closure and adjustable instep strap with quick-release buckle allow a secure and personalized fit.

The deep lug, self-cleaning treads have a variety of angles and surfaces for sure-footed traction in snow and slush allowing you to navigate the winter landscape with confidence. A foam liner in the upper provides cushioning and insulation, while reflective accents provide enhanced visibility in low light conditions.

The Orion joins Tingley’s wide range of overshoe products and offers protection to parcel delivery workers, public works crews, commuters, recreationalists, and others who want to keep their feet dry and warm when walking in wintry conditions. Tingley products have been protecting generations of workers since 1896 and are available from authorized distributors in the US and Canada. For more information, please contact a Tingley Sales Representative or visit the Tingley website at www.tingleyrubber.com.
