ClickSafety unveils newly revised advanced safety course for leaders preparing for STS Construction Exam

June 3, 2016

ClickSafety, a leading provider of online safety training for the construction and general industries, today unveiled its comprehensive, newly updated Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC) Exam Preparation course.

This new five-hour advanced offering is aimed at individuals who serve in important construction leadership roles -- forepersons, supervisors, crew chiefs, managers, etc. -- preparing them for the STSC certification exam offered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). This certification has long been seen as a validation of on-the-job health and safety leadership and introduces participants to the best methods used by construction supervisors to obtain world-class safety performance. ClickSafety's updated course will help employees prepare for the current exam and includes topics from the new Examination Blueprint (STSC6) that BCSP has made available and is expected to be effective fourth quarter 2016.

Like all ClickSafety offerings, the STSC Exam Preparation course uses a flexible, customizable and interactive "student-centered" e-learning platform designed to ensure learning and retention. The course includes practice exams and study modules aligned to the certification exam, and covers topics such as safety planning, hazard identification and control, on-the-job safety, handling emergencies and more.

In addition to equipping participants with the knowledge to pass the STSC certification exam, the course also provides IACET Continuing Education Units and reflects ClickSafety's ongoing commitment to equipping leaders with the knowledge, training and tools to create a culture of safety. The STSC prep course complements the company’s leadership offerings such as Leading Cultural Change, OSHA 30 Construction, HAZWOPER for Supervisors, Hazard Communication for Managers & Supervisors and others.

"We're pleased to add the newly updated course to our portfolio of leadership training courses," said ClickSafety General Manager Doug Kaplan. "In addition to helping participants pass the exam, our goal is for them to use the techniques learned in this course and their preparation studies to become a better leader, supervisor or manager, with an increased understanding of what will make their organizations, jobsites, and communities more compliant.”
