Larson Electronics releases 160-watt high bay LED light fixture for pendant mounting

June 8, 2016

Larson Electronics, a leading industrial lighting company, has announced the release of a pendant mounted low profile LED light fixture, which is a viable, direct replacement for four-foot, four lamp fluorescent light fixtures.

The GAU-48-160W-LED-DLC-PND from Larson Electronics is an integrated high bay LED linear fixture providing 18,385 lumens of light in a 160-degree wide flood beam spread. This low profile, highly efficient LED light fixture is a direct replacement for existing four lamp T5HO fixtures, providing twice the lamp life, increased durability, and less energy consumption. This fixture is housed in an aluminum casing and the LED assembly is protected by a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens. The integrated LED assembly has a 50,000-hour service life, resulting in extreme efficiency and reduced maintenance costs. The solid state design of LED technology give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extreme in temperatures, and a lamp life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs.

An integrated heat sink allows for efficient heat dissipation, preventing the LEDs from overheating and keeping the overall temperature of the fixture relatively low. There is no ballast in this unit which reduces the overall weight and creates a slimmer profile. This low profile light fixture features an adjustable bracket, allowing operators to position the light once mounted. The fixture is ideally meant to be pendant mounted by a ¾” NPT mounting hub. This unit is multi voltage, operating on 120-277 volts AC and is supplied with a 10 foot line-in cable with flying leads.

“This new LED fixture is equipped with an adjustable bracket, equipped with a ¾” hub for pendant mounting for applications that require lighting to be suspended from the ceiling,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “It provides twice the lamp life, better durability, and uses less energy to operate than a standard fluorescent bulb light fixture.”

Larson Electronics produces an extensive line of LED light towers, portable distributions, explosion proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights. You can view Larson Electronics’ entire catalog of lights by visiting them on the web at Larsonelectronics.com. You can call 1-800-369-6671 to learn more about their products or call 1-214-616-6180 for international inquiries.
