Larson Electronics manufactures an explosion proof LED string light set with 10 lamps

August 23, 2016

Larson Electronics, a leader in the industrial and commercial lighting industry, has announced the release of an explosion proof LED aluminum string light set equipped with ten 15 watt LED lamps.

The EPL-SL-10-FL1524-LED-C1D1-TXF explosion proof LED string light set from Larson Electronics is U.L. Class 1 Division 1 & 2 approved. The two foot, 15 watt LED tube lamps on this string light set produces higher quality light than incandescent lamps and provide more light output than previous fluorescent lamp models. This 10 lamp string light set comes complete with a 90 foot 12/3 SOOW backbone for long range and convenient operation. Each lamp on this hazardous location area stringer features a rugged, non-sparking aluminum casting and a unique rod cage. The lamps produce a cool, glare-free, shadowless light that improves safety in hazardous locations and maximizes lighting efficiency with built-in metal reflectors. Because LED technology features internal drivers, these lamps do not require a ballast, which reduces the lamps overall weight.

Each work light features an impact resistant tube shield with specially designed annealed glass and an aluminum hook for easy overhead mounting. Five feet of 12/3 SOOW cable between each junction provides sufficient space between the lamps and each lamp is equipped with two feet of cord between the lamp and the junction box. A 25 foot tail section of main SOOW cord is included to allow ample length for connection to an inline step-down transformer. The transformer is encapsulated in a Class 1 Division 1 explosion proof enclosure and equipped with a 10 foot line-in cable terminated in an optional explosion proof plug. This string light set is suitable for exposure to vapors and dusts and ideal for use in confined spaces such as fuel tanks and grain storage areas.

“The high light output and good color rendering index makes this string light set ideal for a wide variety of close quarter work and inspection activities,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “Equipped with an explosion proof inline transformer and an explosion proof plug, this string light set offers complete protection for use in hazardous locations.”

Larson Electronics produces an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distribution systems, explosion proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights.
