The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) invites industrial hygiene (IH)  and occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) professionals to submit proposals on the latest OEHS information, trends, technology, and best practices to present at the 2018 American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo (AIHce EXP).

Experts are encouraged to submit proposals for professional development courses (PDCs), which are in-depth, more formal learning experiences, and education sessions, which make up the main conference program, using the proposal submission portal on the conference website. AIHce EXP 2018, the conference for IH and OEHS professionals worldwide, will be held May 19-24, in Philadelphia. PDCs will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20, and on Thursday, May 24. AIHce EXP education sessions will take place Monday through Wednesday, May 21-23.

“One of the main cornerstones of AIHce EXP is its education sessions and we look forward to sharing the insights of industry experts from across the field each year,” said AIHce EXP conference planning committee chair, Dirk Yamamoto, PhD, CIH, CSP, PE. “By sharing ideas, we propel our industry forward and make our workers safer with each piece of insight we learn.”

Presenting at AIHce EXP allows individuals to expand their career by increasing their visibility and building their reputation among fellow professionals. Presenters can also earn certification maintenance points, find new opportunities for dialogue and discussion, and introduce new concepts that will benefit their colleagues, the profession, and the well-being of workers around the world.

The deadline for PDCs, education sessions, Ignite, and professional posters submissions is Sept. 6, 2017. Student poster submissions are due by March 2018.
