The National Safety Council is hosting its 2018 NSC Congress & Expo this week at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. This year’s conference features more than 1,100 exhibitors, more than 150 educational seminars and four keynote sessions.     

“With workplace deaths at their highest level in nearly a decade, safety professionals’ efforts are more important than ever,” said Deborah A.P. Hersman, president and CEO of the National Safety Council.

Keynotes for this year’s event include retired U.S. Navy Admiral William H. McRaven; Christine Clearwater, president of Drug-Free Solutions Group, LLC; The Honorable Ed Emmett, Harris County judge and director of Homeland Security and Emergency Management; Shawn Galloway, president and COO of ProAct Safety, Inc.; Rodney Grieve, facilitator at Branta Worldwide; Scott Margolin, vice president of Technical Tyndale; Corey Pitzer, CEO of SAFEmap International; Phillip Ragain, director of training and performance improvement at The RAD Group; Mike Schlappi, CSP, speaker, author, Mike Schlappi Communications; and Daniel Snyder, owner of SPAN International Training, LLC.

OSHA also will announce its annual list of the Top 10 most cited violations for fiscal year 2018.
