It’s a pretty big breakfast meeting and it takes place every four months or so. Approximately 200 members of the General Building Contractors Association’s (GBCA) Philadelphia chapter get together with OSHA representatives three times a year to learn more about improving safety in Philadelphia area construction projects.

Each of these Eggs with OSHA gatherings focuses on a different aspect of creating or improving a safety culture: Focus on Leadership, Understanding Safety Communications, and Leadership & Effective Team Building.

OSHA staff also provides contractors with updates on agency initiatives and regulations, inspection process, and Cooperative Programs, with an emphasis on Voluntary Protection Programs.

For more information about the GBCS’s Eggs with OSHA Program – or the organization’s other safety programs, contact GBCA's Director of Safety Services, Frank Durso, at fdurso@gbca.com.
