A film crew employee who was placing traffic cones last week at a Brooklyn location where a TV show was set to film was struck and killed by a co-worker, according to news sources.
The early morning incident took the life of Pedro Jimenez, 63, who was laying down traffic cones preparatory to the filming of a scene for the Starz show “Power” when a co-worker driving a 2006 Ford Explorer struck him.
The 64-year-old driver exited the vehicle and attempted to find help for Jimenez. First responders transported him to Brooklyn Hospital, where he died.
According to news sources, the NYPD is investigating the incident – which occurred at 4:30 a.m. - but no criminality is currently suspected.
Signs announcing the planned filming were taken down.
